Three boats were heavily damaged in a fire at Satterwhite Point Marina Thursday night. Officials indicate there were no injuries.One eyewitness is quoted as saying there appeared to be an explosion on one of the boats, triggering the fire. Two houseboats and a ski boat suffered the major damage.

Boater Danny Haire of Yadkinville, North Carolina, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 18 pounds even Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Shenandoah Division tournament on Kerr Lake. Haire took home $5,590 for his victory. According to post-tournament reports, Haire caught his fish in the Satterwhite Point area of Kerr Lake, fishing a Carolina-rigged Zoom Lizard.

Clarksville eyes building upgrade at marina
