Buggs Island. The crappie and bass have started moving shallow, towards the backs of creeks, triggered by the warm spell. In a crappie tournament at Bobcat’s a colossal 4.24 pound crappie won the big fish pot. I guess it did. Bets action for crappie has come form tight-lining jigs tipped with a small shiner in 3 to 8 feet of water.

Cox, Farrington Tie For First At Walmart Bass Fishing League Piedmont Diision On Kerr Lake

Chris Cox of Greenville, N.C., and David Farrington of Greensboro, N.C., both weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 2 ounces Saturday to tie for first at the Walmart Bass Fishing League Piedmont Division event on Kerr Lake. Cox and Farrington both earned $3,937.
