The Kerr Lake state recreation area recorded 1,099,644 visitors in 2014, up 6% from a year ago. It was among six North Carolina parks to record more than one-million visitors for the year. The others were William B. Umstead, Fort Macon and Jockey’s Ridge state parks and Falls Lake and Jordan Lake state recreation areas.
